. January 2019 .
Hello!
As the sun sets on 2018, we race into 2019 like it's going out of fashion. No rest for the wicked!
Swimming has picked up again - as if it ever slowed down. The beach has had a thrashing and a couple of us check out some art work.
Read on!
Xmas Touch
As promised, we managed to track down a few pics from the family fun Xmas Touch day that Dave and Jake played in.
Some in goal action that ended as a try for the good guys in Black! |

Team NZ!
(Plus an import from some other place...)

Swimming
There were a couple of swim meets early on in January. Michelle did her part as an Official while the kids did their thing in the pool.
Meet Ref
(Not "Meet The Ref", Sam)

Do the nails make a difference? |
The Clipboards are out! |
Sam & Jake pose for the meet sponsor with some of the Stingray team |
There was also an 800m Sea Swim in January. Jake had a good crack, coming in 3rd overall. The first three were barely seconds apart in another tight finish.
Michelle also swam the 800 (it'd been a while) but still managed to bring home some silverware! |
Some form of training.... |
And how do we fuel these two for all that swimming?
Beaching
We've managed to find a couple of spare sundays (without rain) in January and have made it to the beach to hang out and relax. This time of year is great as it isn't too hot - but still pretty warm!
We get some nice sunsets at times |
People always look for the Green Flash as the sun disappears |
We do get some interesting Beachwear fashion statements at times... |
We've had a few not-so-flash Sundays as well.
On this particular day, we had three inches of rain in the afternoon!

Catching up with Justin, one of the guys from Freeport Rugby Club (Bahamas) who was on island
for a quick visit last weekend.

Randoms

So, if you really want to know where we are⇧check out the tiny dot that is towards the bottom (up from the arrow). The even tinier faint dots to the right of us are Cayman Brac & Little Cayman.
From the top, there is the USA/Florida Panhandle (Miami etc) with Cuba directly below. The group of islands to the right and slightly below Florida is the Bahamas.
The larger island near the bottom is Jamaica.

Check out the art work! |
Michelle's Touch Team in the Women's League that started this month. |
So, that is our lot for January. February will be busy I'm sure!
We have a big game of Rugby on this weekend. Cayman v Guyana with the winner being promoted to the next level (with Columbia & Mexico). Dave and the Cayman Rugby TV Crew are streaming the match Live (and Free!)
Click on this link to watch the game:
The following week is Kaaboo, which is a two day event with a bunch of live acts, including Duran Duran, Maxi Priest, Shaggy, Blondie, The Chainsmokers, Bryan Adams, Counting Crows & Jason Derula to name a few! Should be huge!
Until next time!
